Lifting Content from the Onion and Matt O'Riley

This is my neighbor Sam. She's my neighbor's daughter, and she just graduated from high school. Congrats, Sam! She has wonderful parents, and I'm sure they'd provide for her if she had medical needs.

Still trying to help some people, and on my day off. Can't really tell ya why I have a day off, but I believe it's a good reason, and the right one. Here's a hint: sometimes people think they can take advantage of others, sometimes women, which essentially takes away the other's power. I don't let them get away with it; I'm sure Sam won't, and for now, I know Sam's hockey-playing Dad, Chuck, won't. He might even use a stick. Heh.

Have an Onion video on children's healthcare, now, to make you laugh, courtesy Matt O'Riley.

Mattresses, Ethics, and Superstitions

On Friday the 13th, the Mattress Factory held a wonderful event, and I was pleased to be there.

Think I'm going to investigate a PhD. Think it'll be related to ethics, possibly.

Don't be afraid of Friday the 13th or the number 13; it's not bad for everyone. It's just difficult to spell triskaidekaphobia.

I should be watching the hockey game but...

...believe it or not, I'm reading its live blog. If I didn't know me, I'd think I was 10 years younger.

The truth is, I don't really watch tv. Blogs are quieter, I guess. Unless you live in Crafton, near Pittsburgh, where people tend to scream over hockey games.

A picture of a picture of Polish Hill in Pittsburgh, not Crafton, by the way. Uh, go Pens? And, thanks Joey Mullen for your autograph so many years ago via Dan Braddock.

If you are from Pittsburgh and you don't know who Joey Mullen is, then you probably are at least 10 years younger. And/or you do not scream at hockey games.

Hmm...going to bed too early means

...waking up too early. As in 12am. I have a date with Susan Constanse at 1pm to help PNC realize the potential of its corporate art collection.

Um, what else. Oh, this photo is a stuffed bird from Franktuary in downtown Pittsburgh.

Sus has birds. I have dog and cats. I did pick up a feather in the park yesterday, though...just to add to my collection of fur n'at.

Time to organize the office. Happy Sunday, everyone. Sleep in!
