Don't Believe the Hype

False media. We don't need it, do we? Don't believe the hype.

No One Believes That I Am Really A Nerd...

...but it is true. Ask any of my former colleagues, well, almost any one of them.

Anyway, I accompany this post with a photo of the robot-thingy headquarters at the Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh PA. With some robot-y functionality brought to you by Carnegie Mellon University.

Also, I joined the Association for Computing Machinery, from which I bring you the following news: Goal: Institutional Transformation. I know one or two organizations in need of transformation.

Perhaps I should apply for a Transformer job. That's it. They were cool robots.

Fall is Officially Here

Which means the following, or following the following?

- No white shoes after Labor Day?

- New dishwasher?

- A free course with MIT! http://watch.mit.edu/

So many choices, what's a gal to do?

No matter, I'm fortunate to be on the distribution list for the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council, and there are great offerings regionally for all's professional development. Check out the New Hazlett Theater, which I quite often mispronounce. You'll have to call them to figure out how to pronounce it, and order tickets for something. So there.

Fraud Monitoring Is On

Roxy, repeated. Sorry I've been bad about posting. Anonymous mail in the US mail by someone who cares not to sign his or her name, and a death in my family.
I really don't believe in drama, and my doggie doesn't either. But if you want good drama, there are many good things being staged right now in Pittsburgh in the Cultural District.
Just ask Christiane D., who performed a bang-up gig with Soma Mestizo at Your Inner Vagabond on Saturday. Plus the Vagabond was featured in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette again---congrats Andrew and AJ!
Really, though, I am not college-aged, as the PG title suggests. Although I do want to go back to school.
